That 1990 GMC crewcab was on the Bend, Oregon craigslist for months. Went down to $4,000 then apparently sold because the ad is down.

They aren't rattling now that I made a bushing and tightened the bolt a bit tighter. I think they might be a little short though. Anyone know how much down travel there should be?

So I began the crappy job of the intake manifold gasket repair. I went to remove the heater hose that everyone complains about. I figured hey why can't I just skip the plastic disconnect and just unscrew the whole thing from the intake. Well this is why you shouldn't do that:

Now I have to remove the upper intake and try to get this out of the threads. Please do not be like me.

Also after I broke it off (it broke with VERY LITTLE FORCE by the way), I was able to disconnect the plastic pieces very easy without any breakage. So if anyone is reading this, if your plastic isn't brittle as hell then use the quick disconnect, if it is brittle, then just disconnect the hose at the heater core end.

If anyone has some cool tips on how to fix this that would be helpful. The current plan is to take the upper intake off and try to get that crap out of the threads, and then find the part online.

Just get it out and replace it with normal coolant fitting with a worm gear clamp amd never mess with that stupid quick connect again. Thats what i did

Alright, intake gasket done, fixed that broken off heater hose, and replaced the rag joint in steering. I take it for its first trip into town. Radiator now has a pinhole leak. Got really pissed off for a while. I'm going to try doing this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4Trxlk9P6g ...hope it holds.

Haven't posted for a while. Put a new spider injector in, installed a 3 core full aluminum radiator, threw out the carpet and bed lined the interior and rocker panels, installed one 12" sub under back seat with amp, plastidipped the bumpers and grill, ordered new 3rd brake light as the junky one off ebay I bought a while back is already yellowed. I'll probably plastidip the rims black, but haven't decided yet.

Also seriously considering spray painting the whole truck olive drab as there are sections that the clear coast is gone and it's just looking kinda meh.

A couple weeks ago some old granny pulled out in front of me as I was going down the highway. My truck is now totaled. I'm on the lookout for a 4 door short bed now if anyone knows of any near Oregon.
