Pigpen is in transmission shop jail, so I haven't been able to do anything with this.

It seemed to do the CMP reading for me. First day/test it showed -1.6 (engine cold/run for under 5 minutes), the second day/test it showed -1.7 (engine warm/after long drive). I will take a third reading and then maybe try and move the distributor to see if the numbers change.

Guess I am trying to adjust the reading to 0 (zero) between 1000 and 1200 RPM(engine warm??).

Hopefully I will figure a way to prop the throttle (under the hood) to steady the RPM at 1100 so I dont have to handle the distributor and throttle at the same time. When I did my initial test I watched the RPM and the CMP on the phone/app under the hood.

It was pretty easy to setup and save different gauge profiles so that I could easily switch between monitoring different vehicles. In the K2500 I used it to watch the engine coolant temp, trans temp and which gear the trans is using, in the car I used it to monitor engine load etc.

While tinkering with the diagnostic features, I used it to command the fuel pump On and then had to command it back Off again, it seemed as though maybe the Service Engine Soon light was commanded Off/On while I was trying to Illuminate the ABS light.

I will proceed with caution, seems like a nice app thus far !

It took me like five tries to get it to connect, and the engine had to be running.

When it failed to connect did it give an error? I bought a bafx Bluetooth adapter, because it specifically lists them as being a vendor in the app's description, and I still can't get the darn thing to work.

Yes, but I don't recall what it was.
