I thought the 3" was better everywhere on that engine except the extreme low end of the graph, and if I remember right, the difference wasn't even enough to matter anyway on that big block

it did knock off 13 hp up top, probably wouldnt feel it at the wheels.

That's my only point, I've never believed pipe diameter makes a lack of difference on 99% of engines out there. There are so many other places for improvement, like the crap manifolds lol.

Didn't you just try to state/prove [that dented headers are no different than intact headers? Didn't you just try to state/prove that exhaust pipe diameter is immaterial to power producing potential? How then could cast manifolds be crap?

BTW, the videos proved nothing you asserted.

its not the diameter of the stock manifolds, its the overall design of how the exhaust exits the head and where it all meets back together.

No.
No.
There is more than one dimension (diameter you are referring to) to a manifold.

I stated, that for most people, the crimps in that y pipe, are not what's holding them back from greatness and glory, if I haven't been clear.

On a presumably, stockish Vortec 5.7, swapping that Y pipe, with the freeist flowing pipe, of whatever diameter, isn't going to make enough difference to notice, or possibly even measure, if people actually bothered to do such things.

The video was about dented headers. Leads me to wonder if the headers were too big for the engine and rpm in the first place.

I (as well as many others) have experienced the opposite of what you state regarding the size and design of the headlpipes.

They did a later video regarding just that.

Do you have any before and after head pipe change data?
