Anyone use them. Notice any difference?

If you are talking about an add on while keeping the stock leaf springs, no.

As leaf springs compress, the axle moves rearward. A 'traction' bar as I have seen implemented, albeit poorly wants to move the axle about an arc defined by the length of the bar and the pivot point.

These two systems clash, unless the 'traction' bar has some sort of sliding element to allow the leaf spring to move properly as the suspension loads.

A thorough explanation with pictures is in the book Race Car Vehicle Dynamics ( Milliken and Milliken ) published by SAE.

Replacing the leaf springs with coil springs, with a pan hard bar and a 3 link would be a better choice than an add on to the leaf spring suspension.

I have tuff country bars on my 02 hd. They sit on top. And they do help, it tows better, did make a difference when dropping the clutch on the 496. Not as cool looking as long bars but they do not mess with ground clearance.
