Hmmm, that is a good question. I wonder what hardware would be needed? I am going to look up the instructions real quick and see what it involves.

So the brackets came today and sure enough no hardware. I think I can come up with everything except it calls or either 6 or 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" bolts. They go from the ouside of the bracket thru the bracket and thru the frame. Not sure where I am going to find those. As well as the sleeves that go over them to keep the frame from caveing in. I was reading, do they have to be grade 8?

Yes grade 8... hardware store, fasten all, napa... should ALL have those bolts... they most likely have the sleeves too... you can get sleeves that are to long and just cut then to size aswell...

MSC, Grainger. Nothing particularly fancy about a 3/4 bolt, even in Grade 8.

You can also just buy a piece of steel pipe and cut it to length.

Went to Fastenal and they had the bolts but not the sleeves. Said they had never seen anything like that. Went to Home Depot and they have nothing. So I got a piece of steel pipe that I figured I could cut up if I could not find the sleeves. Going to try Napa and Oreilly's tomorrow and see what I can come up with there. If I don't find anything I am just going to go with the pipe.

Pipe should work fine, it's just to brace the crossmember from folding in.

Found something with a little thinner wall/smaller overall diameter at ACE. Very strong. Talked to the guy there and asked him about cutting it and then running a bolt thru it could it hold up and he said without a doubt. "You are not going to bend this." Going to start tearing it apart today. Biggest concern right now is trying to cut/grind that bracket off.
