I bought injectors (3yr warranty) off of ebay for $118.49

http://www.ebay.com/itm/281152255299?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649

I bought NGK spark plugs, didn't like them and I might have fouled them doing the seafoam thing so I bought a set of AC delco rapid fires, putting them in tonight if it doesn't rain.

don't forget the replace the gaskets. I did the intake, throttle body, and EGR gaskets, and make sure the machined surfaces are perfectly clean, a vacuum leak can cause all sorts of other issues.

be very gently on the injector clips on the fuel rail, the rail is plastic and they'll snap right off (i broke 4 out of 8)

I did the cap, rotor, and coil since i was in there but left the wires since they looked pretty new and OEM AC Delco's.

you'll also probably break some vacuum lines so keep good track of where they go.

Also good luck getting that exhaust pipe off the intake manifold, I couldn't and gave up and did the repair with it still connected which was horrible, get that thing off before you do anything else, I tried penetrating oils, a torch, and breaker bars with no luck.

Thanks for the info and I planned on doing all the gaskets I might even swap heads because I have 3 missing exhaust manifold bolts on each side and I have a set of rebuilt heads.

Do yourself a favor - buy injectors from five-0-motorsports.

I bought and installed "re-manufactured" bosch injectors on ebay, with a 2 year warranty. Those lasted like 3-4 months and the hard warm starts were back. I tried getting them to replace or refund them and got nothing. I ended up buying another set, from another seller..... had the exact same issue. Finally said f-it and put the new injectors in. They aren't really rebuildable, They can be cleaned, tested, get o-rings and some small parts but truly they aren't rebuildable.

While you are there you might as well do lower intake gaskets and FPR. Check out and possibly replace the ignition components as well.

Trust me, I tried saving a few $ by buying those injectors, it is just not worth it.....

That's the biggest thing I'm afraid of.

I'm hoping I don't have to do that in 3 months, mine is an extra car. I think if it was my daily driver I would've bought the expensive ones. I would've just replaced the stock one that was leaking but everyone on the forums talked about how they were a bad design to begin with. That reminds me, fuel filter is next on the list for me...haha it never ends

Mine is not a daily either, it's just a weekend rig. I only put on about 10k miles a year. Hopefully you ended up with better luck than I did.

Yeah I'll probably put the 5 0 ones in I make my living with my truck and it would cost me more to have it down for 1 day than the more expensive injectors cost.

Too many of these reports made me go straight to five-o when i did mine.
The $100 ebay sets were tempting, but I have no patience for having to fix something multiple times.

Though removing the upper intake manifold a for the wrong FPR wasn't too bad, I was able to remove it a second time much faster.

Lets see....

I've had mine apart 9 times now. Plus I did a friend's as well.

1- installed 1st ebay set
2- installed 2nd ebay set
3- installed Bosch set from a firebird, were the wrong year and wayyyyyy too large
4- installed Bosch five-0 set
5- installed Bosch five-0 42LB/HR set for whipple
6- reprogrammed computer was late, ended up putting 1st Bosch set back in
7- re-installed bosch 42LB/HR set
8- Supercharger failed, re-installed 19LB/HR set
9- Finally got supercharger working, back to 42LB?HR set.....

I can do a full injector swap in about 30-45min at this point........
