New to the site and I hope someone can help me. Also if I have posted to the wrong area, excuse my ignorance.
Recently purchased a 1994 GMC Sierra with 2 piece drive shaft. While changing the center carrier the center slip yoke grease seal broke. I was given a part number from the local GMC dealer and order a seal from a dealer in Ohio. The plastic seal I received was not close to fitting over the spline.
The part number I was given is 7827942 (front propeller shaft seal) and has been discontinued.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be most appreciated.
