This week:

  • Had back glass replaced because it was leaking in more than one spot.
  • Put new ACDelco rapid fire plugs in, with new ACDelco wires and a new coil.
  • Put in a new ACDelco Distributor.
  • (Reminded myself to not put any more money into the wimpy 4.3l that I will be taking out as soon as I can.)
  • Got the stupid white letters put inside on the tires (I don't know why those bother me so much)
  • Put a coat of wax on her.
  • Put some Weathertechs in. (Love these things.
Hey you can see my other baby in this picture in the garage:D

Are the WeatherTech's for a Suburban or a Tahoe ? I think there is a difference. Thanks

Yesterday I put in a new gauge cluster. Got the odometer set right for the truck and all, but the thing is.... I hate the blue look of the backlight behind this thing! :( I like the orange/white needles... But I hate the blue. Anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of it and make it stock white looking?

you can remove the blue coating on the back of the liner. requires disassembly, i have seen documentation about someone doing it, but can't remember if it was here or another website.

The front-end parts have started to roll in!

Plans for the next few weeks:

Moog CK Parts:
R & L Lower Control Arm & Ball
R & L Upper Control Arm & Ball
R & L Inner Tie Rod
R & L Outer Tie Rod
R & L Tie Rod Adjusters
R & L Sway Bar Link
R & L Coil Spring Insulators

Monroe Reflex Shocks All Around (I can't say enough good things about these shocks. They are the best.)

More pics to come as the project is under-way!

This is the nastiness I'm starting with:
