I've done three now, and haven't ever broken a bolt on anything. I've broke some harness clips, so be careful, I've lost some bolts, so be careful lol.

I did the last one, in an alley, behind my old house, in the snow, with the most basic set of handtools ever lol. Don't worry, you can do it.

Thank you, haha. I've been hearing that it's easy/common to break the heater hose when disconnecting it. Should a place like Advance Auto or Auto Zone have a rebuild kit or something? I couldn't find anything on Rockauto for it

There is a replacement, or you can drill and tap it. I never take the fitting off, just unhook the hose.

Thank you, what is the replacement called? I'm going to look into it, just in case.

I ordered the intake and two valve cover gaskets, new manifold bolts, and the mpfd injection yesterday.

I think you mean the plastic clip in the quick coupler breaks which it is kind of one of them 50/50 chance things that depends on how much patients you have weather you puts enough or get sick of it and it pulls hard comes easy.

So, my buddy and I are planning to fix the truck on Saturday, but the heater hose disconnect tool that I ordered a week ago yesterday still hasn't shipped, so I'm guessing it won't be here by then. Is there a way to get around disconnecting the heater hose? My buddy is pretty convinced that we'll probably break it disconnecting it. You said we can just unhook the hose from the fitting? Will we have to worry about breaking anything by doing that?
