Mine's 5.61:1  Maybe that's partially why it doesn't break loose easily? Low first gear ratio and G80 would definitely not help. Seems healthy enough in the video

I felt like I may have made it seem like it's running like crap, it's not. It's adequate. It's just not where it should be, IMO. Like I said, it won't spin the tires in the pouring rain, that seems absurd to me.

Are the tires really soft?

Haha yeah I could spin 31x10.5 uniroyal laredos with my 4.7 Dakota. I've never ran a vortec truck with out 4.10s or 4.11s whatever they are and my dads 98 3/4 ton HD rclb would roast the tires hooked up to a Co-op fertilizer spreader with 2 tons of fertilizer in it.

That was a 350 4l80 with 4.10s

Here's some boring screen shot video of me driving around in Pigpen. I believe either my new TV solenoid isn't working, or I hooked it up wrong. The PCM isn't detecting lockup after so long, and then commands me into third.

Well, on the brightside, I drove it 90 minutes to the first transmission shop who could name the valve in the transmission I needed and didn't just want to do a full replacement. So, hopefully, worst case, a new converter, a couple valves, and Pigpen is good to go.

On the down side on the drive Pigpen definitely exhibited some misfiring along the way, and it's louder than hell with straight pipes.
