Agreed, the rocker flares look very unique! If you don't mind, where did you get them from? The truck is looking sharp, nice work!

They're really hard to find for our trucks. Made by CRE Products, I found them at Suspension Connection. They do an awesome job of keeping ice build up and rocks off the rockers.

Also, this is happening. Truetrac and guts for 14SF conversion.

Made some decent progress on the 14SF build. Primed and sprayed with three coats of tractor/implement gloss black. Need to quit being lazy and get this thing under the truck, gotta have the Trutrac for hunting season and winter.

I would love to do a 14bsf in mine also...along with hydroboost and a 4l80e.

That rear should last you forever!

Do it! 14SF is a pretty easy swap, just kinda expensive.

Hope it lasts forever, the plan is to build the truck back to front. 14SF first, then a built 4L65 or 4L80, then LS swap (probably L33 or LS1).

Having dipped into the LS world with my Z28, I'd vote building a tpi or stealth ram sbc. Way more torque down low. LS are cool and definitely have their place, but I'll be sticking with the gen 1 stuff in my pickup.

Haha, I do love pulling 4th gear rubber at 7k rpm in my built LQ9 though!

The title of this thread is deceiving. I'm not finding this truck to be very boring... looks great, honestly. If not being lifted, and having factory wheels is boring, then I enjoy being bored. Ha ha

Thanks! Someday I need to check my pick n pull yard for better factory wheels. I like this style, but mine are in pretty rough shape. Just like the rest of the truck, dent in every panel. Keeps the door dings away. :D
