Questions about upper control arm knockouts

1998 Tahoe 4x4 4-door that I'm rebuilding the suspension on.

Are both holes supposed to be knocked out so they are elongated?

On both the driver's and passenger's side, the outboard hole in each bracket is elongated, and the inboard one looks kind of like a cross.

Hopefully the picture I posted is clear enough to see the difference in each hole.

When they've been knocked out, they should look like this...(the one on the right)

Ok, thanks.

Only one is knocked out on each bracket in my truck. I will go ahead and knock out the others then.

I appreciate your help.
