I own there 170amp mig welder. Will it weld YUP will it penetrate YUP , Will the welder break in 2 months like every one say nope had mine 4 years now. Never given me a problem.
Will your welds look good . **** NO . Do you get splatter over everything YUP would you be proud of any of the welds it makes . Not even close.
Depends on what you need it for. I like the stack of dimes look .
If you have the money get there cheap 250$ stick/tig welder or convert a stick welder to tig . HFs cheapy tig machine sucks huge donkey balls has no options but is a great cheap first tig machine. You have decent looking welds. I dont own it but have read great reviews. I went from my 170amp HF mig to eastwood 200amp tig then to an everlast 250amp the everlast has every feature imaginable . I love my ever last but the east wood is a great buy.
Point being if I had to do it over buy a tig and learn to us it . I never mig any more unless im tacking some stuff quick. This my opinion and my opinion is what you pay to be here on this forum.
