Nobody ran a residual valve? I'll post again because I think it's important and part of making the modification the right way. Not having the residual valve will "relax" the rear cylinder cups and allow air to enter the system. It's the only way air can enter the system with out a leak. The valve was $10 off eBay, Wilwood has them for about $20. They come in 10# and 2#, you want the 10 for drums. I replaced the line because I didn't want the adapter at the master and since I was flaring lines I might as well do it right. This is a in process picture so it's a little messy but it gives you an idea.

HOW DID YOU END UP MAKING THIS WORK....WHAT ADAPTERS DID YOU NEED OR DID YOU CHANGE THE SIZE OF THE LINE JUST GOING INTO THE M/C FROM ACCUMULATION VALVE??

I have a master cylinder from an 03, and now I have time to do this mod. So now y'all are saying it won't work unless I bend new lines and install a residual valve??

I'm not running a 'residual valve' on my swap. If you are sucking air through your wheel cylinders it means they are compromised and need to be replaced. No residual valve needed and my brakes are working fine. I am using the MC off an 03 Silverado.

Ok kewl. ever since I installed my flip kit, I've had this noise coming from the rear drums, just before I come to a complete stop. it sounds like there isn't enough pressure to force the shoes the drum, sounds like the are just touching thing and makes an awful howling sound. Sounds like a whale, that's what my kids say.
I've adjusted, I've bled, I've replaced everything, I've double checked the lines, the emergency brake works amazingly, ive drove backwards and hit the brakes, one guy told me to slam on the brakes in gravel or grass and that'll bleed the ABS (I don't think air ever got into abs) I did that. Still shity. I'm thinking of getting rear disc conversion if the MC doesn't fix it.
Any comments?

It would probably be best if you started a specific thread on your problem, more people will see it that way.
