No problem.

You can build or buy a relay harness whichever suits you better. They are all over ebay. Not my personal choice due to questionable quality.

A guy on the 67-72 chevy forum makes plug and play ones that are really good quality from what I've heard (no personal experience).

I'm going to price building my own, but if I can't build it cheaper, I'll order from him.

The Retrofit Source also has some nice quality products.

Thanks again. I'm going to contact the guy at 67-72 to get more info.

I built mine using a 9005 and a 9006 HD Kit and a GM Correctional Spillter from TRS. The diode in the correctional splitter is installed in the wrong direction so you will need to cut it out and flip it. If you want to use 3 relays, you won't need the correctional splitter. I used two relays and I had two left over.

I got $80 into it but I also have two extra high quality relays to use for something else. It's something to consider.

I should add that I used the GM correctional splitter to make my HD Harness into a 4 HIGH kit. You could run the HD Relays from TRS as they come which would give you one relay per headlight with no 4 HIGH mod. I thought that was way over kill. And I didn't want to waste a really nice relay on switching on the low beams.

Either way you have options.

Appreciate the information. So you're running HID relay harnesses converted into a single harness with relays left over? I could use the other relays for my efans...hmmm. Did you have to add any extra wire or was there plenty scavenged from the two harnesses?

Yes. TRS lists the Motimoto Relays on their site for $10 each.

They are 40amp relays and very high quality.

Where my relays are mounted, there is plenty of wire for the positive, ground, and 3 of the 4 headlights. If you look under the driver's side light you can see there is an extension wire installed for the low beam. That extension is about 8" and I had it left over from another project.

I choose that mounting location because there was already a hole there. I could have mounted the relay further to the right or extended those wires a few inches.

Here is a thread where there is more detailed information.

I've been just driving the suburban and enjoying it until recently.

This past weekend, a buddy and I made new oil cooler lines for it since mine were leaking. Also changed the oil filter adapter gasket while we were at it and of course an oil change.

New line and AN fittings from anplumbing.com

Turned out pretty good and no leaks

Tonight it got new shocks at all four corners, rotated the tires, and adjusted the rear brakes since they were acting up.

I've got some more maintenance stuff I need to do as I have time: rear sway bar bushings and links, control arm bushings and a transmission service are a few of them.

Replaced the bushings in rear sway bar and sway bar links with polyurethane bushings from energy suspension.

The old bushings had seen better days

Truck felt more planted driving around tonight. Definitely worth the money.

I used these bushings

How long did that front suspension take you? Looking to do mine? Anything to watch out for?

It took my buddy and I almost 5 hours to do the tie rods, ball joints, and idler arm and bracket assembly. The steering box and pitman arm were replaced at a later date which took us approximately 3 hours. I recommend you do the control arm bushings while you're in there. I didn't because I forgot to buy them so I still have those to do. Alternatively you can buy complete control arms with the ball joint and bushings already installed to speed up install time. Give yourself plenty of time and have an extra vehicle handy to drive if you run into problems.

I couldn't have done this in my driveway due to the age of everything on my truck. Doing it at my buddy's shop on the lift with air tools made all the difference. Your experience or results may vary. Good luck!
