so some time ago my compressor bailed out, i had a spare lying around that i threw in but the lines didnt match up, from what i heard 93 and 94 are special years with the compressor lines, is this true? im trying to find a replacement and get my ac working again, any info or part numbers or thoughts would be greatly appreciated here. i cant even find a used one around here on long island

I know I tried to swap a 95 compressor into my 94 and the lines didn't fit, but it kept the truck going till I could get the old one fixed.
It's been several years ago so I can't remember what all it needed, but I know it was less than $20 in parts and a parts store rental puller. AC is still cold , so you might want to tear into the old one and see what it needs if money is the issue.
I do recall the shaft seal being hard to find, I think I ordered a couple wrong ones before I got it right.

i took the compressor apart already, the actual "rod" that compresses the piston has cracked, the only thing i can think to do would be to swap in the guts of another r4 compressor, but i dont quite know the interchange between the compressors, like if the guts from an earlier one would work in a later housing? i figure it might just be easier to ask around before i go hacking things up to make it work
