I should get a pic of how much of the output shaft I cut off, probably a good inch, maybe inch and a quarter. And it was about the damned cleanest cut with a death wheel I have ever done to... and the sparks from doing so burned nice little shrapnel holes in my shorts I was wearing. Could have something to do with me wearing swim trunks, and no shirt (bite me, it was africa hot out cutting in that shelter)

And this pic mostly shows the clearance between the adapter and the transmission

...should be enough room to pull the trans pan with out disassembling everything.

not that I want to do that...

And it's a weekend away with the family and kids so when I get back the next task is looking into what I am going to need to build a transmission cross member.

In the meantime if anyone has seen or knows of pics somewhere of what other people have done for transmission cross members that would be great, cut down on some of the fab time, kinda hoping to drive this thing by September.

And yes, I will eventually get rid of that slip yoke, and yeah probably do a better paint job on everything.

I know I have seen a Burgundy painted Blazer that was something similar to what I need and it almost looked like he flipped the factory cross member upside down...I think

And yeah, if you wouldn't mind checking again that would be mint!

It was just a spacer ring to push it back so it doesn't hit the pan, sorry.

I think mine flipped with a notch cut for the front drive shaft should be fine. I'll add some gusseting to the underside after.

Thanks for looking

Here's something I found on another site, I can't take credit for this but wonder how close I could get to making something similar, or is this a waste of time?
