Did you get the amp and the entire harness from inside the center console of a Denali/Escalade?
I threw away two of them a while back because I couldn't sell them.
I'm in no way any expert on sound systems.. lol but my honest opinion it seems like a lot of work for the minimal gain in sound quality... Personally if I wanted to keep the stock headunit I would just use an aftermarket amp and some good speakers. But I was in the same boat for a while, I wanted to keep the stock headunit so I wired in a factory Bose sub under the center console in my Yukon, but I used an aftermarket amp (sounded WAAY better than with the Bose amp). I also installed steering wheel controls from an S-10 Blazer.
Burbalade swapped in a factory Bose to his Suburban, though I think it was a newer version. Either way, he may be able to help you out better than me
