Couldn't find anything from the search. I just ordered $350 worth of AC parts. Compressor, Drier/Accumulator, Condenser, Orifice, and a o-ring and valve kit. I have a few questions.

1. Can the valve cores be removed and installed with a valve stem tire tool?
2. What, if anything, is used to lubricate o-rings during assembly?
3. I've heard a old wives tale of using a orifice from a Ford for colder AC, is there any truth to this?

Thanks ahead of time for your help.

1:. Only the low side. The high side port has a rubber check ball that has a propensity to leak.

2. I generally use whatever oil I'm putting in the system.

3. I have heard this as well but have not done it myself. There are also "hot climate" self adjusting tubes that can boost performance. Hopefully somebody else will chime in.
