Wow, I would have thought a 1-1/2 spacer would have gained more room in-between the tires than that. Well now I know. Thanks for taking the time

Bleh, that is the worst. Also, what tire pressure are you running? I'm curious how those will settle out with weight on them.

Being 285/75R16 tires they are wider than what a handful of us are running, 255/85R16. Same height, just different widths. He has the same spacer setup as me and I have much more room between my duals.

That is how much room I had with no spacer and 235/85/16. I always had to have 80 psi in the because they would rub together on bumps. I cleaned the inside of the outer tire and covered the sidewall in wide masking tape, at under 65-70psi there were scrub marks on the tape.

Shes a street queen for now, I dont have any huge camper or trailer, so worst case scenario might load the bed with construction equipment or throw a quad and tow a side x side... Ill find out later today what the tire guy aired em up to.

should I bump it upto a 2inch spacer? once the backs lifted, another 1/2 inch sticking out aint gonna bother me.

Thats what I was curious about. I run mine at 70 with the camper currently, if i had less space I would need more PSI

do you have a picture of the gap between the 255s?

Took her to the Exhaust shop yesterday, needed a 3" pipe welded on a flange, a new muffler, and Catalytic converter welded into place... and the flange bolted onto the Y-pipe which has the same matching flange... and I supplied the gasket flange, cat and mufflers

I dread having exhaust work done, ive never been happy, 50% of the time theres leaks. I just dont get why its so difficult to do, ITS YOUR ONLY FREAKEN JOB OF THE DAY!!!for the love of whoever, just do it right!!!! I go to a different exhaust shop everytime, because im always dissapointed. these guys had a 5 star rating out of 42 reviews on yelp, and theres a bunch of nit picky whiners on there, so I was kinda impressed. so I go down there, all the guys are cool, its hot as hell so it took a while, were shooting the breeze, they finally finish up, they start the truck look for leaks, they cant find none. Im actually impressed there looking for leaks, Ive never seen that! drive her home pretty abusively, because im enjoying the new sound and bit more power the headers gave me, Back in the driveway, throw it in park....and there it is!.. the ********* sound you can ever hear after getting your exhaust done, a little pew pew slap of the air between 2 metal pieces leaking out of the exhaust... its leaking for sure, hopefully in between the 2 flanges, I was so annoyed I just walked inside. gonna go check it out later today after it decides to quit being 104 degrees outside.

It's for the exact reasons you just listed why A: I assemble my own exhausts and B: I never run headers.

...like ever
