Hey guys, my first post not problem related. This is my build thread for my 1999 K2500 Crew Cab.

This is the second picture I took of it, when i got home. The first one and all of the craigslist pictures were lost when i went from iPhone to android (worst decision ever). Had 80,*** on the 350 5.7 motor with 240,*** on auto transmission and body. Ran amazing and was so loud. Mostly stock except for Magnaflows, dumped below back seat and the motor.

One of my fathers buddys had a motorcycle slide under his truck while he was stopped and lit the motorcycle on fire and his truck. He got out and pulled the guy out from under the truck but the truck was burnt up.

He sold me the running boards and both front and rear Ranch Hand bumpers and I know what you're thinking, his truck was a cat eye, but for 500 bucks i couldn't say no. So with the bumpers and steps in the bed i went to a friends shop and we went to work. A full day worth of welding, eyeballing, and southern ingenuity we made it fit.

Voila! It looked better then i thought it would. the lights lined up with the grill guard holes and gave it a mean look.
The following Monday I brought it up to my school's Ag shop and my classmates and i started sanding. We sanded 3 or 4 of the days till the paint felt pretty smooth with the metal and went back to a neighbors shop the next weekend. Taped everything off using tarps, painters tape and all the copies of the thrifty nickle that the owners of the local mercantile would allow me to walk out with.

There it is when we primered it. We let it sit for two days till my father could stand no more of my nagging and we went down to the shop to finish the job.

I really wanted them maroon or color matched while my father thought black would look best, so we compromised and went with black. It turned out pretty well despite my thoughts. This was all done with rattle can and it turned out amazing. Still have all the paint a year and a half later. Really think the original owner helped out when he had it powder coated.
Went on and did all the typical highschooler upgrades with the Kenwood aftermarket radio and two ten inch kickers off a sound ordinance amp. (Side note: bought a box and two JBL 10 inch subs for 50 bucks and took the JBLs out and stuck the kickers in. The box was out of a 2013 F350 so I had to take the back seat out to place the box, then replace the seat but in the end i came out with a pretty hard to steal sound system.) Didn't do much for a while besides replace power door lock actuators. Then summer came and i got a pretty good summer job and saved up and bought head lights plus a little extra.

Sorry I couldn't flip the image right side up.
That's all I'm going to write tonight. Ill finish up the build thread tomorrow. Thanks for reading if anyone has already, before i post the rest.

The headlights are off of ebay and the halos are off of ledconceptslighting.com. You have to cook the headlights in the oven to separate the lenses from the housing, then silicon the halo in and drill a hole for the wires. They sent great instructions with the kit so it was pretty easy, and the wireless remote is pretty cool.

Build Thread Cont.

Alright heres the rest of the build. The halos are color changing. Theyre from Ledconceptslighting.com. Theyre pretty cool and not that hard to install with all the instructions they send with it.

I also added tow mirrors and did a gauge cluster led swap.

I also added a 200 watt Hornblasters PA system with sirens to use for highschool shenanigans. (It was well worth the 200 bucks :naughty:)
I waited a couple more weeks and bought some tail lights that I thought would look good. They looked alright but not the look i was going for. So i sold those and put stocks back on, but kept the third brake light.

Im kinda looking for a stock heavy duty look but i dont know quite yet. Anyways, started school back and didnt have much money to spare, besides gas money, then i got a job at my current workplace and i found some LEDs.

The small ones on the outside are 15 dollar eyeyourlife 2x3 pods off of eBay and the 2 center ones are SUPER bright ones no brand just ones they put off the back of tractors. They work amazing and i use them all the time and they're pointed down just a bit so they dont blind other drivers.
And then I spent 2-3 weeks buying small leds for the interior but i dont have any pictures of the finished product so ill get some today and post those. But this brings me up to this week and i finished this last night.

Its a 30'' light bar off of amazon. Not a name brand. I got it for free because i ordered it and waited two weeks and it never showed up, i emailed the seller and no response. Waited another week and emailed him again with same results. (I had gained some patience since painting the bumpers) After I emailed him i filed for a refund and it came a couple days later. Started looking around for another but couldnt find a seller that looked trustworthy and ended up spending the money on Christmas presents for parents and sister. Two weeks later which would have been end of last week or first of this week it showed up. I emailed the seller saying I would pay for it but no response so I decided to mount it and did it yesterday. Only took a day and had it all wired up. Super bright and i dont think Ill be putting anymore lights on the front as i can see 3 counties over as well as be seen.:naughty:. And thats it for my build, I cant think of anything else i have done.

Just recently threw discount special wheels and tires on it. Oh and cab lights. Motor started knocking so building one with bored out motor, a bigger can shaft and all that other stuff. I think it looks pretty good. Hoping to have headache rack soon.
