Was also able to get my led bar under my tailgate this afternoon. Still need to hook up the reverse part of it but I'll wait till I put my 4" led pods under the bumper and my reverse camera so that I can hook it all up with a relay.

Had a few minutes this afternoon so I thought I'd knock out something truck related. The previous owner must have tried to do a home spray on bedliner. Seems he didn't know what he was doing cause it didn't stick and he threw a drop in liner over it. Even with the liner you could still see where he did the inside of the top of the bed. I couldn't stand it. With a little elbow grease the spray on is gone.

Also finally figured out where one of the plastic pieces I found under the back seat went.

Not much of an update as far as pictures go but I got a couple things done to the truck this weekend. Ever since I bought it one of the right side tires has leaked down. Usually it was something that took a month to notice. Got up Saturday morning and it was completely flat. So that moved up the list and I got it fixed that afternoon. Sunday I dropped the truck off and had a guy replace the door hinge pins, bushings, roller pins, and springs. After going 8 months with doors that wouldn't hold there selves open and being hard to close I feel like I'm driving a brand new truck.

This afternoon I lucked up on a used A/C control head. The one in my truck when I got it had the mounting tabs broke off, the blower motor switch wouldn't turn off, part of the lights didn't work, and the A/C and Rec. switches didn't work. Basically it was only good for heat. Haha. Was able to replace the control head and get all that fixed.

Was able to get a little something done today. New interior door handles, bezels, and door panel clips. I also had a couple of Pioneer tweeters out of a late model Malibu from when I worked at the Chevrolet dealer, so I swapped the factories out with those.

Got a couple things done tonight. Cleaned her up a little. She cleans up pretty good for 20 years old. I changed out the battery terminals to get prepared to do "The Big 3".

I also pulled my fender trim off and repainted them. They were nicked up pretty good from stuff being kicked up off the road.

As I said a couple posts back I was able to get a hold of a new to me a/c control head for the truck. That fixed alot of issues I had with the a/c system but I still did not have cold air. Saturday I was able to take it to a friend's who pulled a vacuum on the a/c system and charged it. It has felt like I'm driving a new truck for the past two days. I'm not dreading this summer near as much now.

Well. Looks like Project Buyer's Remorse may get put on the back burner for a little while. My dad has been disable for a little over 10 years now and hasn't drove in nearly that long. So, he decided to give me his truck the other day. It has a few small problems that were going to turn into bigger problems if they weren't addressed. It is a 2000 GMC RCSB Z71. It has 63k original miles. 5.3l, Flowmaster exhaust, K&N FIPK, power everything. I've got to get to work on it for a while and then decide if I'm gonna keep my 96 or sell it.
