4l60e to lq4

Hey guys.. Im almost done building my 02 LQ4 to drop in my 98 Z71. Can anyone point me in the right direction for making the connection on the trans? Ive been trying to search around and cant find the info im needing.

There are companies that make transmission bellhousing adapters, thats pretty much your only choice. They are pricey, but they know its either that or get a trans that fits. Check SummitRacing, probably either Quick Time or Trans Dapt. That, or maybe some amazing JB weld work :rofl:

Trans will bolt up to the block without an issue. The LS engines have a bolt at the top of the point on the bell housing that the SBC doesn't use, and the LQ4 will have a blank spot where there should be a bolt hole on top passenger side. The LQ4 should already have a spacer between the crank and flexplate since it was intended for a 4L80E, which should have the proper pattern and bolt up to the LT style 4L60E.

Motor was pulled from a 02 3500 manual shift.. Flywheel was MIA by the time i got the motor so a new flywheel and spacer will have to be purchased
