As for my wheels, I don't think I can get by with less than 4" of backspace. My rims are 10" wide and my boggers are 14.5" wide. Is that close to what yours are?

And can you shoot me a pic of your truck from the front? I'm trying to figure out if my wheel track will be narrower. Right now even with the 4" backspacing my truck is 2" too wide to fit on my trailer. When I haul it to the races I have to change wheels/tires to load/unload.

You're assuming the solid axle I'm putting in will be exactly the same as this IFS? I don't believe it is.

What I don't know is his hub to hub measurement. He has the same width tires and wheels as I do. A picture of the front of his truck might tell me what I need to know.

The 1/2 ton 44 should measure in around 65" wms to wms. My 3/4 ton 44 measures around 67" wms to wms. The hubs that are used will dictate the wms to wms.

Dang, looks like I'm still going to have a problem. Mine is the 3/4 ton 44 with the original '79 Ford hubs.
