Hey guys i have a 1992 single cab long box chevy silverado with a 4.3 5 speed manual. i recently put an engine in this truck and it's my first chevy. so something that i found makes it a tad bit hard to drive is the gas pedel is stiff only with the engine running. as i push on it there is resistance then it slides quick and makes it jerk a little and it makes it a little difficult to keep it quiet (currently no cat or muffler) so im wondering has anyone encountered this issue. i have lubed the cable and throttle linkage and made sure around the butterfly is clean and carbon free so idk what else it could be.

I had that happen on my 92 as well, I replaced the throttle cable and it fixed it.
