That's awesome. I've got enough power to run the 40s and my differentials have 4.56 gears and lockers. I might go that route. Or maybe 38s. I guess I better see where my truck actually sits first.

Well I have 35x14.5 Boggers right now that have a ton of bite and I can destroy those so I'm sure the 38s would be fine for me. Maybe the 40s would be a strain though.

Pull the overload and atleast one or two leafs. I'm running 4+1 stock 52" Springs with the overload removed and ended up with about 4" of lift from them plus the 4" from my brackets. Add on a 1" zero rate and 1.5" body lift and it's around 10" total lift with 38.5 boggers.

Right on man. I can pull the overload and one leaf pretty easy.

Hey, while I've got you on the line, what size rims are you running on that rig? My new front axle is a '79 Ford 3/4 ton Dana44 with the dual piston brake calipers that are freaking humongous. I'm not even sure a 16" rim will clear. It looks like the old 16.5" rims are barely clearing the calipers now. My Boggers are all 15" so I guess I'm going to have to do some swapping anyway.

Glad you posted that info. Was about to DM you to see what your spring pack looked like.

They are 15's. You need around 2.5" backspacing to clear the dual piston calipers and it still takes a little grinding.
Id think twice about the D44 if going bigger then 35's. I've been there broke lots spent lots and then upgraded to the 1 tons.

I tried to find a Dana 60 with the 32" spring perches. Everybody who had one wanted an outrageous amount of money for it. I did put Richmond 4.56 gears, Auburn locker and upgraded u-joints in it though.
