Ive got a 1994 chevy silverado, i had to do some frame work and a fuel pump underneath the bed, the lights had no issues before the bed came off, the taillights are very dim, directionals very dim and fast, no parking lights in the back. only in the back though, the front lights and roof markers are working fine. the only connectors i disconnected where the 4 prong connector and the 2 prong license plate light connector. Possibly a ground issue? Ground locations on the frame/bed?

Were the two connectors corroded or damaged at all? The four prong trailer plug is the most common cause of this in my experience.

Symptoms say you have a ground issue, and:

...says you missed the ground and possibly broke it. It was attached to the frame in the general area where you disconnected the 4-pin.

I just recently put my bed back on after repainting my truck and frame. I hooked everything back up and had the same exact issue until it dawned on me that I was trying to ground through frame paint. Once i was properly grounded to clean metal it was all back to normal. Rust will definitely cause a poor ground too. Wire wheel the ground point and see if that does it

Im guessing its gotta be ground because all my fuses are good and everything has been updated with fresh fuses recently.. my 3rd brake light lights up nice and bright, but its just the tail lights. also, when i turn my parking lights on, the backs aren't on, but then i turn them off and put the truck in reverse and the back markers are on with no reverse lights.. Confusing

Are you just going to ignore checking/fixing the ground I described earlier, and start a new thread with the same question? Because that's what I just noticed happen... :/
