Go crate. The get up and go power isn't that different from what I can tell (12 mile drive home) but I notice it doesn't hunt gears at all, despite 35s and stockers. I think that speaks wonders.

Yes, just the ability to hold the pedal steady and feel it move. That was the night and day difference for me, being able to pass without downshifting. Being able to run slight grades without downshifting.

It's like the Silverado with a 4.8, 3.42s and 235s. You can be turning 1600 RPM in 4th, going up a hill and it doesn't need to downshift.

Truck is running and driving good. System is booming. Life is good. Now waiting on my SAS guy to text me back.

Right before my engine have up the ghost, I got pulled over one night for no tag lights. Had about 2 hours to kill at the shop today, so I played around with the truck. For fun, I pulled out the old tag lights

I would say they were pretty well toasted. Replaced them with a pair of 20 diode LED bulbs I conveniently had in my glove box.

Truck got its first official oil change last week. Drained the break in oil and filled it with Mobil 1 full synthetic. Also snagged some upper control arms last weekend, but haven't had the time nor motivation to put them on. Talked to my SAS guy and started working through the preliminary stuff. Parts aren't ordered yet, but he's signed on to do it and we're planning it. Other than that, not much going on.

Did you cut the filter open? I usually do the first time, just to see.

On the SAS, I'm gathering part's myself. I'm going to use a HF winchmount and DIY4x4 shackles in the front. For the rear I haven't decided yet.

No I didn't but I still have it so that's not a bad idea.
I'm thinking about using the DIY4x hangers in the front for mine also. Probably going to try to find a square to pull the springs and rear hangers out of before I break down and order a new set.

Around me, that stuff is getting somewhat hard to find, so if you can grab it from your local pull a part type yard, I'd definitely do it.

Oh trust me I know. Been looking for over a year. Pull a part is my last stop.
