Since we have a new 96 up Vortec subsection, I thought I would make a new post.

The 12200411 PCM can be installed into the 96 to 2000 GMT400 trucks simply by repining the PCM connector terminals. The wiring is slightly different between the 96, 97, and 98 to 2000 trucks. The 0411 PCM has a much faster processor than the Black Box PCM and has dual timing tables. There is also more support from the tuning software companies for the 0411. EFILive and HPTuners both offer "Custom Operating Systems" for the 0411 to support boost and or nitrous. The swap can be completed in about 2 1/2 hrs and is fairly easy to do. If anyone is interested in the swap just PM me your e-mail address and I will send you a copy. I will not post the files to the web.

I have down a few mods to my 98 Silverado. I am wanting to do the 411 swap. You mind send me the pin out data sheet? Thanks
I don't know what the deal is but I can't seem to get to the Private Messages. At the top right of the screen it shows my inbox. When I click on it, it takes me to "conversations". I don't want conversations. I want to check my private messages. What am I doing wrong?????

This is a question for the guys that have installed the tow haul mode on there 411 pcm's. Is it worth it? Can you actually tell a difference when towing? I have a 2000 chevy 2500 ccsb with the 7.4 and 4l80e that will be getting a 411 pcm from Lextech. It's not a dd and I will only tow a 21' bass boat and possibly a camper in a couple of years. Thanks

I have tow/haul mode in my PCM and while I have not towed with it on/off, I can tell that there is a difference in shift firmness and the trans shifts way differently up and down hills. I cannot say sooner or later as it is shifting sooner or later than I expect it to when on hills. I find it a little handy for getting into traffic, but dropping to 3rd seems to be more effective for that. It does not alter my timing.
