Ball joint bolts making contact with spindle

I'm having an issue with my upper ball joint bolts (nut side up) making contact with my spindles. Has anyone had this issue? Not sure what to do, I'd assume grinding material off the spindle is a no no. Any help would be great, thanks

Vehicle in question is '00 obs c3500 dually 6/8 belltech drop

The way he has them is correct. With the nut side up.. if you flip them so the nuts are down you have the added length of the rest of the bolt hanging down aswell. And that will hit the spindle..
