I'd get 5000k or 6000k at max. 8000k is going to be very very blue, unless you're into that kinda thing.
This is the chart i based my decision off of. They dont look very blue.

Guys. Im not sure what to do. My truck has problems a few times a week starting. Its ONLY after school. No other time at all. Starts up on first try other than after school. It doesn't click. It doesn't try to start. I turn the key and nothing happens. We tried putting in a new battery. A new reduced gear starter. Cleaned all the connections. Replaced the relay. Replaced the ignition. (locked up sunday morning). We cleaned all the gears and connections down there. I havent got a clue as to what it can be. If you know what i can do to fix this, let me know.. Im tired of going out to my truck and sitting out in the heat cranking on it every few minutes for 30+ minutes.

Sorry didn't see this before, as far as that chart goes, 8000k is more like the color shown as 12000K.

So i drove it at night. I love the color. But they are to dang bright. Are these things legal??? I mean they are brighter than my factory high beams. Is there a way to dim them down? If not, i wasted 40$ for an upgrade to hids.....

Heh, nope. Being bright is fine, but you need glare caps in your headlights. Can't turn them down.

I run HIR1s is both lows and highs, with my 4hi mod, and with 4hi on that's 10,800 lumens which is about 5x bright than stock hi beams. Just lows is 5400 lumens and that's about 2.5 times brighter than stock highs - I don't get flashed though, just aim them down and run glare caps and your golden.
