I know I've mentioned it and posted random pics, but I don't think I ever put up a thread here,

Here's the gist,

brought it home from Little Rock,

Blanket to keep me warm with no heater and crap off my arse,

Had an Edelbrock 750 with no choke on it, and weird rubber plug's in the valve cover's that cause it to leak oil out of the gaskets,

It still looks ok from here,

This exhaust managed to rot halfway off sitting in the garage all winter,

Heater core I meant to fix at start of all this,

Full of poo, of course,

Not awesome under the rubber floor,

My nephew put the door pins in for me,

The passengers side got some light blasting, wire wheeling, a few pin holes welded shut, and was good to go,

Driver's side I thought I could just patch the floor pan,

But I just couldn't let this slide,

I went to the junkyard today to buy a seat, because I'm pretty close to being able to drive it around, and bought a 73-74 grill instead, because, that's how I roll.

Nice project! I'd love to get my hands on a C10 - such a good platform for just about any swap you'd ever want. Mine would be a 4.8 LS swap with twin turbo's ;)

An LS would be sweet because then you can relatively easily use a T56 for fun gear banging.

Mine will only see the track for test and tune, it will primarily be a cruiser to the ice cream store, car show, antique shows, etc. The 400 in it runs well, but I do want to kick it up a notch eventually. I'll probably put a 454 based engine in it next year.

I tested out my new paint gun on a spare bedside, I need practice lol,

Today I got the outer rocker lined up like I think I want it, then my cheap welding helmet broke, so I put the fender on so I can pretend like I have a whole truck again lol.

I also went for a little ride,

So the previous owner threw in this fender when I bought the truck, I've been practicing bodywork and stuff on it,

Here it is covered in tractor enamel,

Stuff is brittle, and ran like crazy no matter what I did. I don't recommend it.

It's also easily wipes off with acetone lol,

So, the infamous Rustoleum,

Orange peeled pretty good,

That mostly leveled out though, looked ok, except, I could see every single scratch and whatnot from sanding, even though it has Rustoleum primer underneath it. The stuff just doesn't build enough.

So, I ordered some real primer, 2k urethane, from Tamco, and I'll be using real paint on it. I know people use these things and they work, but it didn't work for me...
