Did you ever look at all the parts you get from diesel conversion specialist to swap the Cummins into the burb? Also can you elaborate on why an ls swap would be bad for our burbs?

I looked into the swap a little, I didn't comb through it all though.
Regarding an LS swap, I'm not against it nor do I think it would be bad. If I've made any mention to that previously, it's not my current opinion. I've went back and forth on what I want to do with my truck. I'm of the mindset I'd like to maintain the money I've spent on the engine toward my next engine, i.e. intake, headers, exhaust, tune.

I called them and had them make me a custom set with 1" extra lift, cost $75 above the list price for the pair. Total cost shipped to my door was $377. I'll let you know what I think of them once I get them on Saturday. I read a few other forums and they had good reviews. Way cheaper than Detroit springs, or SD Truck Springs.

One in. The difference in resistance and height is insane, about 3.5". I couldn't lift the rear anymore, which made getting the springs in a *****. Otherwise very simple.

Haha wow, I'd say your factory springs were definitely borked. Looking good! Hope it clears your garage door, looks like you might be stuck!

Just kidding, kinda. I realize it's still on the stands. I remember when my parents bought my Suburban new they had just built a new house, and they had to have the garage door installers come back out and relocate everything about 6" farther back so we could lift the door up high enough to clear. And that was at factory ride height. Priorities!

Yeah that looks a little more proper than the springs your PO wore out. Question is, will wifey/mommy let you finish it today.
