Did someone put the galley plugs back in? You can spin the oil pump with the engine on a stand and you'll find your leak.
I should have primed the engine on the stand, but this is only the second time I've built an engine. The plugs were put in by the builder. My dad says he's certain that it's not leaking from there. I thought I saw a leak from there, but my dad said it was just from the oil on the flywheel getting thrown up there.

Sounds like you're just trying to be lazy.

Laziness doesn't get things fixed correctly.

If you want advice on how to cobble your truck together. I'd suggest another forum.

Theres nothing to fix. If anything my way is better. I have no interest in re enabling Chevy's crappy gauge. So as I said I was hoping there was a bypass for the oil pressure sender. Which apparently there is according to this http://www.chevytalk.org/fusionbb/showtopic.php?tid/234210/

So I went and found the red wire on my fuel relay and it runs right into the main harness so I guess it must have changed or something. So I guess I am gonna have to do it the hard way, unless anyone has a better knowledge of where this wire maybe hiding?

Just bought my truck a few days ago, and there is one part under the hood I have never ever seen before in my years on working on cars and trucks.

Right behind the battery, attached to the passenger side fender well is some weird black block with a little light bulb and a crank on it. The wire runs into what looks to be the AC drier. What is this thing?

It is an under hood 12v drop light. If it isn't broken there is a lock that retains the magnetic base bulb assembly. There is a lever type switch that turns it on.

So its like a built in under hood work light? Thats pretty cool! I guess the bulb portion comes out, and that crank is for bringing the wire back in? I'll check and see if it works properly.
