So i've been having this problem for a few months where my clutch will feel "scrapey" for the first few miles that I drive the truck, until finally it starts clicking (pretty loud) when pressed, and scrapey on the release. You can feel it through the pedal. I had the trusty girlfriend run the pedal after a commute and found that its coming from inside the nv3500 housing.. so i dont think its the master cylinder, which i replaced about 10 months ago (slave was also replaced). This was a few days after i got the truck when the pedal dropped to the floor at a stoplight.. truck is a '93 cheyenne 2wd and the guy said it had a pretty new clutch. Any ideas?

thats your throw out bearing. Either the guy didn't install a new one when he did the clutch or its a faulty bearing. only way to replace it is to drop the trans.

Yup definitely throw out bearing. If your gonna do it you should also inspect the clutch and all that happy horse crap while you're in there. And if you pull the flywheel make sure to check your rear main seal as well.
