So what is supposed happen when you adjust the heat control knob.. Is it electric or vacuum ?

Summer is here and mine is stuck wide open on heat

What year is your truck? I know 95 up a servo turns and doors in the ductwork open/close, so electric. I'm pretty sure I found the info through a search here how to swap them and position everything so it's lined up right. If you hear a servo when you turn the knob then the linkage is likely the problem.

97 I don't think I heard anything happening.. I'll take a closer look tomorrow ... Any idea where the servo is located?

Actuator is what I should have said instead of servo. Mode door actuator is for defrost, dash vents, floor vents. Blend door actuator is for the mix. Then there is one that opens for fresh air/cabin recirculate.

A little later he talks about making sure the actuator is indexed. That's important.
