My knock sensor is leaking :( need help with how the best way to get it out? Is there a possibility that it will break in there? What size thread is it? Would like to get this done before a 3 day of rain starts.

Start with carefully unplugging it (connector is often brittle) and see if you can gently snug it up with a 6 point socket. This would be in case someone replaced it before and maybe didn't tighten it enough. Don't go crazy; it's NPT (tapered thread) so if it's gonna seal, it will do it before you go animal tight and break it off.

If that doesn't help and you need to replace it, do it with the engine cold as obviously, some coolant will spill out. Have the new sensor ready to go. Be sure you buy the correct one as they're different based on engine, year, type of transmission, etc. Don't add any kind of sealant or thread tape to it, again it seals by design of the threads, although the new one -might- have a little thread compound already on it.

EDIT - cranking my head sideways to look again, I'd almost wonder if it's really the knock sensor that's leaking. Can you see it 100% for sure that it's leaking there? I'm more inclined to think it's the expansion plug past it closer to the starter, which is fairly common to leak once they get some age.

Whether you tighten it or install a new one, it has to be properly torqued. If not, you will get an engine code for it.
Amazon has replacements pretty reasonably. I've never seen one break in there, but they do often get pretty corroded. Shoot it with some PB blaster a day ahead of time and it should come out just without too much trouble.

Is it best to replace the knock sensor while doing an oil change or does not alot come out?
It's in a coolant passage, not oil. Replace it on a cold engine so that you don't get scalded, and that there's no pressure on the system. If you have the new sensor ready to thread in you'll lose very little coolant. Sometimes there's so much sediment built up in the passage you may not get any coming out at all...

I replaced my knock sensor and it won’t go in by hand more than 4 turns, a bit more with a ratchet. Is it suppose to be this way?

Didn’t count actually. After putting the new one the engine started pinging at load so i removed it and put back the old one, and it too goes in only half way.
