The older one's had the silliest transaxle ever, the motor was mounted normally, with a chain over to a converter. You could try to get it in a truck, but I highly suspect that's where the whole "90% complete" comes into play at lol.

I am imagining some sort of frame hackery where the Toronado front end was welded to the truck frame. :sawzall:

Sadly, where I'm from, they'd just lower the entire truck frame onto the Toronado frame lol.

And now that I think about it, we had a 80's Toronado running around hacked into a pickup when i was a kid lol.

I remember an episode of Overhaulin where they had an old pickup truck that had the front end of a Cadillac welded on with a 500ci engine, and it was done poorly so they had to replace the frame.

There used to be a square body step side like that in the town where I lived. Was light blue when I first saw it, then Hugger Orange.
455 Olds/FWD. Looked like a nice lowered truck. No weirdness. Until you got behind it. Then, if you looked close enough, the solid rear axle could just barely be seen. That looked like it was from a FWD van or something that would have similar.
Owner & his Dad owned one of the 2 wreckers in town. They built it in one of the shops there.
I've looked at the truck up close. Great paint, nice interior. Full custom fabbed 2x4 square channel frame the length of the truck. All around, a very slick build.
I asked why? They said..."Because we could, so we did!"
