I've heard pros and cons with the spindle vs control arm debate....I need lower ball joints and bushings anyway, hence the lowered control arms {2"} and combined with a 1"dropped coil....that's plenty enough for me. I've been searching for 2 hours looking to see if I have to have new upper arms too....PITA

pros and cons?
im curious to know about those.
i was planning on doing poly bushings anyway in my LCA's, so maybe its worth me going the aftermarket drop LCA vs spindle...

I talked to DJM yesterday and they said it would be a straight forward deal.. I had read about some saying they had different issues such as ball joints and sway bars not lining up. He said it should not be any issues. ...with ball joints and bushings, that's what sold me.....I'm sending back my 1" drop springs and will just take off half a coil. I just want a slight rake

From my persistent researchin' on this subject, lookin' to do a 3/6" or 4/7" djm frnt/bell tech flip rear myself: djm 3" LCA will be a simpler install usin' factory coils & add lowered shocks now or later. One should also be able to run 15" stock wheels w/no suspension rubbin'. Also like thee added benefit of new bushin's/ball joints all in one install...

Spindles require more disassembly, require trimin'/reforcement on thee stock LCA to run stock 15" wheels, which should also give you a wider turnin' radius...

I've read ride quality should be thee same no matter which direction one goes when addressin' minor issues. My biggest question is for those who keep statin' don't mix LCA w/drop springs or dropped spindels. Spindles I get, but djm has three choices for LCA : 2" & 3" both to be used with stock coils. They have a 4" (which is said to be really a 2" LCA w/ball joint angles addressed/reindex or what have you, to work w/their 2" drop coil for a total of 4". So have people tried that combo & had issues or are they speakin' on pass attempts w/their standard 2" LCA w/another company's 2" coil ?...Hope some of this info was helpful, had to purge said info to get clarity myself...

if i did the spindles, my 15" wheels would rub?
i have factory 15" alloys now, but plan on putting 15x8 steel truck rallys on it.

LCA's alter the front-end's geometry. Spindles don't.
Cut springs + those LCA's are gonna throw things outa whack even more.
You may be O.K. with a 1" drop on the springs but your alignment guy is not gonna be happy. The alignment specs will be hard to achieve when the adjustments are pretty well at their limit.
