Hi I'm new to this forum but I have a newbie question for you guys.
My question is concerning the torque converter lockup on the 4l60e transmission.
I'm not a fan of the automatic transmission in general because of the way it drives. I've extensively driven a 94 blazer, 08 duramax, and my 93 k1500. I've come to strongly dislike looseness of the torque converter in the under drive gears. I have also driven both a 09 vw Passat and 2012 vw cc. While I'm not a fan of the 4 cylinder cars I have found a that the transmission in them are very different than the 4l60e. I'n those German cars it seems as though the torque converter is locked up in every gear and only unlocks at idle, deceleration, and gear changes. While this is a lot of explanation, my question is whether any of you have kept your TC locked up in all the gears rather than just in overdrive.
