I was wondering if you actually looked at the heads or if you're trying to use some other method to determine which heads are on the motor. If they're 991's they're not much, if any better than your swirl ports.

I will be getting the casting number after work but if these heads are about the same I may see about getting an L31 and swapping that in with a TBI intake on it.

339 heads are smog era castings with big open chambers and small valves. They'll lower your compression ratio, and may not work better than what you have already.

That is what i noticed after i ran the numbers myself. They suposedly had work done to them so im going to measure the valves and see what they come out to. These came off of 355 that a buddy of mine sent out to be built but the more i tear into this thing the more I'mnoticing is its stock
