Yessss! Takes much bigger balls to cut up a nice truck like this opposed to one like mine...that was destined for the junkyard anyhow.

This thing is going to be amazing bodied. You going traditional or stock floor with the cab?

Your truck might be my favorite, I kinda hate you, in a nice way ofcourse. :)
Even tho I have a 4x4 my weakness is lowered trucks, you make me wanna lower it.

Lol thanks guys! It'll be getting traditional bd'd. Was going to stock floor it but I'm not overly tall and didn't wanna mess around with new cross members and running a fuel cell.. Etc. This way everything structure-wise on the frame remains the same from factory. My friend did a traditional on his ext cab and you can hardly even tell with lower seat brackets. I'd love to build a full stock floor bd frame but that's not in the budget anytime soon :/

I will be raising the bedfloor and redoing my air management once I get the truck back so I will post pics as I go. Found a nice factory floor to cut up and drop in my existing bed.

I agree completely about the traditional drop. I'm only 5'8" so I don't miss the headroom at all. I still would like to cut 2" or so out of the seat brackets to bring you down closer to stock....but never have gotten around to it.

Btw no one can ever tell the truck is BD by looking inside (nor do they know what that is around here...lol) I have the factory carpet and It lays flat and tucks under the sill plates.

Fk yeah!!! Another body drop! Like 04silvy said, it's really hard to tell traditional.. either way, when aired up, ain't no frame hanging out the bottom..lol. I'm eventually going to get around to installing my Acura buckets, and then I'll have more head room than a stock floor You can roll the floor at the sill to make the gap smaller and do away with having a little step. I literally just hammered the floor downwards across the top and inward across the bottom, ended up only having to fill just over an inch gap, but makes a really smooth factory looking contour that don't look so traditional body dropped.

Sounds hackish saying just hammered the top of the cut downwards... But in reality, there's a floor brace under the floor skin that runs across from front to rear cab mount, that being there makes the ability to easily hammer the floor downwards possible. Should of mentioned that..lol

I totally get what you're saying! Hmmm.... I definitely like the idea of having the floor rolled/rounded downwards instead of having that squared step up into the cab

Yeah, it's super easy! The metal is thick enough it don't end up all wavy and the brace being only a couple inches behind the cut it helps bending the floor skin work out perfectly. Could probably do it by hand (gloves on of course) if you got enough weight, but I was able to with a small mallet and didn't take really hard hits.
