Nice ZR2, I had one years ago and loved it, but needed a bigger truck. Now that I'm older and better employed I've toyed with the idea of picking up another one for around town…

This is a ****** old photo of it…

Looks familiar, were you on ZR2USA.com?

So I washed, clay barred and waxed the hell out of this thing yesterday. Aside from the f'd up bedrails, I can't believe how well it turned out. The entire thing feels like glass.

Got rid of the ball mounted to the bumper and replaced it with a new pad.

And I scored a set of these Envoy factory HID housings today... for $60 shipped. :) In good shape they easily sell for $400-500. They're a little foggy, will take some buffing. But can't wait. I've wanted these headlights since 2005 when I bought my first ZR2!

This thing is so damn clean. I love it. Can't say I'm a fan of the way the new headlights look but, I'm still eager to see them in the truck

^LOL

Well, I'm not a huge fan of the looks of them either, to be honest... But, I do like the idea of having HID's. If nothing else, it's something just to play with. I may end up not liking them. I can always make money off of them!

No matter which set of headlights I keep, I'll end up pulling the orange reflector.
Here were the ones in my last truck before I painted them

I do have to admit they look better than the Envoys... We'll see what happens

So I tore into this Saturday... I'm not crazy about the looks of the headlights themselves, but I do love them at night.
It turned into a bigger project than I anticipated. I was hoping I could fit the ballasts somewhere behind the grill, but I ended up mounting them inside the steel bumper below each headlight. The longest part was running all the wiring. I wanted to keep it clean so I ran it all inside the factory harness. The ballasts are ran to relays that are triggered by the stock low beam plug.

I love the look of your Sonoma. I came across a post on Facebook of these seats and I was wondering your opinion on them? They certainly are different
