I use to cut the old speaker and use it as a mounting plate. I'm not 100 of it'll work with your exexact speakers but always had for me. I'll be doing this probably tomorrow with some old RoFos. If not I'll prob just tap into the door.... I really need to cut up the dash and get my old touchscreen pioneer in that's collecting dust...

An aftermarket heat will push usually more watts (ie my avh 4500bt pushes 50w x4 mosfet built in). like a very small built in amp if you're not putting in subs it'll be just fine... I've actually never ran one even with subs.. just put tweeters in the posts, mid doors back sub for me. If you buy quality you usually won't need high rms to power them... might be underpowered but does the job and sounds good to me.

I got my head unit figured out and Now I am trying to figure out my wiring. I do not have to drivers side door speaker working so I thought about just running new wires for the front speakers and calling it a day. Was also going to put 6.5 into the doors. but wanted them on the door panel. anyone run a set up like this before?
