I talked to a guy that moves people anywhere in America. He has a chevy gasser with a 15ft enclosed trailer. He gets 500k miles per truck then buys the newest model every 5 years. He doesn't skip any oil changes or regular maintenance. Its possible to get any mileage with maintenance.

Seems like a lot of these super high mileage trucks are TBI trucks?
Probably! Vortec is great because it starts quicker, gets slightly better MPG, and has more power, but TBI is hands down the more reliable system in the long term.

Wouldn't it be worth it for him to get a Duramax due to better MPG when towing?

I want to stay quiet about mine so she doesn't get any ideas about breaking down. Vortec 5.7 original everything except fuel pump, water pump and tuneup items no intake manifold problems or anything and original 4L60E at 318K. It'll probably implode tomorrow now that I've said this.
lmao, sounds like you have my luck
