I have a 1988 C1500 with a 700r4 with less that 100k miles on it. Recently I've rebuilt the engine and put in a new B&M torque converter and filter kit in an effort to fix the infamous "shudder shift". That worked great until about the last month. Recently when coming to a stop in would notice that the truck would down shift while my foot was on the brake. This occurs in both Drive and Overdrive. I've just replace the TCC solenoid in the last week and the shifting was smoother, however today it began the same behavior again. In addition to that, while in Overdrive there's a surging/vibration that seems to come and go.
