Bought the truck and couple weeks back, lowered 3-4 in the front and had flip kit with c notch in the rear with air shocks. I installed 2" lowering shackles and threw on some belltech street Preformance shocks (for 8" drop) rode smooth for about a week or so but now my axle hits the inside of my notch on bumps and dips. Could it be because the shocks are breaking in? Or because my rear is lower than the front?

Might wanna get the shock extenders from belltech #6652, that will help correct the extreme angle on the shocks.

Absolutely install shock extenders, they're fighting an unwinnable battle at that extreme angle. The extenders can't totally correct it, but they help.

8" rear drop is extreme on these trucks (on most trucks) unless you do a super C style notch where you cut the bed floor for clearance.

Put it to you this way, with just a flip kit on my old 94 C2500LD which has a stiffer spring pack than what you've got, and a bolt-in Belltech notch, I still managed to smack the notch a few times, bending it slightly where the bump stops sit.

Shock extenders first, then think about raising your notch. A little fab work can probably net you at least another inch before you actually have to cut the bed, but it'll take some doing.

Actually, you have to notch the bed xmember with just a 4/6. And a 4/8 will smack the frame on big dips with the regular c-notch. If you go any bigger at all with the c-notch, the pumpkin will hit the bed. And, like mentioned above, you have almost no shock action with your shocks at those angles. You should fix the shocks, and adjust your shackle up one hole unless your going to get serious and start cutting stuff. Seems to me you need to address the front first before you try to go lower in back-unless you like the nose up look.

Yeah ill definitely get the extensions, and a bigger notch was already something in mind. Thank you for the help.

Depends on wheelbase/bed configuration. Some have bed support right over the pumpkin, some don't.

If it hits a little even after notching the support, then just make a little hinged trap door. It'll be cute. :)
