Thanks man. I had to do a penetration weld and then a cosmetic weld ha

I also replaced the heater hoses and removed the quick disconnect with a heater hose fitting

I finally did the ad244 alternator install with the new bracket and I love it. The volt gauge would drop to just above 12 volts with the lights on and now it stays steady at 14 volts with 14.58 measured with a volt meter.

Cleaned and painted alternator bracket.

I added in the sense wire and connected it to the junction block on the firewall. The hardest part was routing the wire in with the existing harness.

Update: I havent done a lot with the truck except drive it since my Blazer has been getting all the attention. I got the Blazer registered last week and have been driving it to see if its reliable. Then I will put the lift on my truck and might paint it depending on the temperature outside because its already getting hot fast. I also ordered a set of factory service manuals for $55 on eBay.

I got a 6" BDS for the truck. I looked at the components and I am very impressed with their kit compared to the current one on my truck.

More updates, sorry no pics yet :nono:

She is all primer grey except between the bed and cab, tailgate jam, and door side door jams. I am hoping to paint this fall but my schedule is already filling fast. I have a little over 335k miles on her and still going strong. I also plan to finally install my bds lift kit with billet upper ball joints and realift torsion bar relocators. I want to upgrade tie rod ends with ones made by emf rod ends but i have been having trouble reaching them to order.

I am half-way considering converting to coil springs in the front basing off of bds coil spring conversions for the newer trucks. I am also looking for an LY6 engine as a donor for a possible engine swap. Hearing my engine roar always comvinces me otherwise ha.

Thank you, its a work in progress for sure. I found some gmt800 seats out of a late model tahoe that I am upholstering to the factory blue and stripe. I dont have it put together yet since my mountain bike hobby is getting in the way
