I have a 88 k1500, the blinkers stay solid when I flip the switch up or down. Occasionally they will will blink but when I slow down they go solid if they blink at all. I can still manually click them. My hazards work. What's weird is that if you turn the key to where the lights on the dash come on, but not so far that the truck is cranking, the blinkers will blink like they should. As soon as you turn the truck on they stop working. The cruise also doesn't work. Idk if that has something to do with it or not.

The hazards and blinkers use separate flasher modules- I bet your thermal flasher is kaput- its on the fuse block usually, but I know it's somewhere under the dash as I can hear min "tick" when my lights blink.

Thanks for the help. I'm going to order a whole multi function switch this weekend and see if it fixes the problem or not.
