on the stick topic.....i made my son learn to drive manual 2 years ago when he got his licence and i when i bought him a a car that's manual he thought i was being a dick but he said he likes his manual "it's fun to drive" and none of his friends can drive stick.LOL
it was cheaper than auto cars that weren't as nice + wayyyy easier for me to fix a clutch than replace a auto.

I don't like how autos can just **** the bed at random. When my GF was DD'ing her '91 Mark VII she was on her way to her sisters, OD worked fine, then on the drive back she gets on the expressway like normal only for it to do the 3rd to neutral thing. At least it still has the other cogs but that's not always the case.. The reliability, rarity, simplicity and ease of service are why I like manuals. Fun to drive is an added bonus as well as it being a built in theft deterrent haha.

I learned to drive manual when I was young, but never got much practice beyond that. But one night, my friend who owned a 2013(?) Subaru WRX (brand new at the time for 2013) asked me if I wanted to take it for a drive with her. There's just something way more fun about flying down a back country highway in the middle of the night shifting through the gears rather than just slapping it in gear and going. Granted, all three of my vehicles are automatic now but my old WRX, Bullitt and GST all had a manual and they will be missed. Still wouldn't mind doing an NV3500 swap on my truck though if I could source out the damn transmission itself.

I saw this ad earlier this week and was drooling over it. What a great price, the new owner is very lucky. If I had the extra money I would have taken a couple days off work and made the drive to go pick it up. This truck was exceptionally clean, and I think it was under 100k miles if I remember right. I remember the guy said it was mechanically sound, new brake components and hoses, A/C worked, extremely clean inside and out. I think it was a dark green V6 5-speed truck but it's been a few days so I'm not 100% sure. All I know is I wanted it badly.
